Tell us about your move into kids wear?
Having remained close friends this whole time and two children each we were both looking for a new challenge. We recognised there was a gap for a design led children's brand. A collection of core unisex pieces. Something style conscious parents would love.
What is your passion/brand ethos?
Rather than a traditional 'summer' and 'winter' collection we have decided to produce more transeasonal pieces that work all year round. Each season will see a few items which will take the core collection from summer to winter. Its all in the styling. Fashion has become too throw-away. We believe in quality not quantity and pass it on...
What is one thing you have you learnt from your first season?
We've learnt to follow our instincts. Its so easy to find yourself being taken along for the journey when in fact we need to keep in control and remember who's driving! Being a new brand in the market has its challenges. There is lots of great brands out there for consumers, but if we stay true to ourselves and our brand we believe RAARAA is truly something special.
What can we expect next season?
We are really excited to be expanding our offering with RAARAA Pure & Staple. This collection is all about great basics. 100% Organic Cotton, Hand Dyed with our own mid century inspired prints. We will continue our vision for stand out Australian made fashion items with RAARAA Edit. Look out for more amazing checks, stripes and spots. Local production and Haute Fashion elements are key to RAARAA Edit.
